    Supplies Needed:

  • Once again, the parasite and affected flesh are removed along with the week-old dressing.

    Case 9, male, 13-years old:

This young boy exhibited a more advanced sore on the back of his left arm. The picture above was taken during his second visit to the clinic, and shows the parasite and affected flesh coming out with the removal of his dressing. [Click smaller images for larger versions.]

    Second Visit:

This picture shows the wound after cleansing with chlorhexidine, an easily tolerated and effective antiseptic used extensively in ORs.

    Second Visit:

Here, the cleansed wound has been packed with Redmond Clay, a swelling-type sodium bentonite created from volcanic ash that was deposited in sea water around 150 million years ago. (Redmond Minerals brings it to market in its natural state with no additives, chemicals, or preservatives.)

    Third Visit:

On the patients third visit the sore exhibited extensive healing. Smaller sores near the elbow were also almost healed.
